  Michael Green
Chief Executive, BCSC, UK


Michael Green spent 20 years with Marks & Spencer. He was responsible for the company taking a leading role in the development of Town Centre Management schemes throughout the country. Michael then joined MEPC, at the time the second largest property company in the country, helping it work more closely with some of its 1,200 retail tenants in their shopping centres. After leaving MEPC he started his own consultancy, GTT Associates, which specialised in the implementation of business plans and funding for the management of town and city centres throughout the UK.
 

Nobu Matsuhisa
Chief and Owner, Nobu Restaurants, US/Hong Kong


Nobuyuki Matsuhisa – known to the world simply as ‘Nobu’ – is the acclaimed and highly influential chef proprietor of Nobu, Matsuhisa and Ubon restaurants all over the globe. Nobu currently has 21 restaurants in 16 different cities around the world, with the most recent opening being Nobu Los Angeles in West Hollywood. He is the author of four cookbooks: Nobu the cookbook (2001), Nobu Now (2005), Japanese Finger Food – nobu style (2006) (in Japanese only), and Nobu West (2006). Nobu resides in Beverly Hills with his wife while his two grown daughters now live in Tokyo. He travels the globe, visiting all of his restaurants and scouting new locations to conquer.



  Jonathan Doughty
Founder and Group Managing Director,
Coverpoint Catering Consultancy Ltd, UK


Jonathan Doughty is the founder and Group Managing Director of Coverpoint Catering Consultancy Ltd, an international foodservice consultancy specialising in retail, leisure and tourism. Having previously worked for a number of internationally recognised companies including Forte, Mars, Marriott and the Imperial Group in operations, foodservice, marketing and product development roles, Jonathan moved into foodservice consultancy. Coverpoint has been responsible for the development of a great number of the major shopping centres, leisure sites and mixed used developments in the UK and Europe and specifically for the ongoing tenant mix, strategy and monitoring the standards of operations.

  Graham Cartledge
Chairman - Benoy, UK

Graham Cartledge CBE is the Chairman of Benoy, a UK-based, architecture practice specialising in retail design. He has worked tirelessly and successfully to establish Benoy as an award-winning, worldwide brand whilst working closely with the UKTI, Confederation of British Industry, the UK India Business Council, the China Britain Business Council and other British trade-promotion organisations. He has supported the Prime Minister and his Ministers in recent delegations to India, China and the Middle East. In 2007, he established the Benoy Foundation – a charitable trust that supports tangible, lasting projects in building, sustainability, community and education throughout the UK and around the world.


  Carl McPhail
CEO, New Look Group, UK


Carl McPhail became Chief Executive Officer of the New Look group in April 2008. He first joined New Look in 2001 as managing director with responsibility for marketing, operations and international and was president of MIM from June 2003. Prior to joining New Look, Carl worked at Selfridges as the Retail Operations Director and in senior positions at Arcadia, Burton group and River Island during his 27 years in retail sector.

  Lorenzo Moretti
Managing Director China, GAP Inc., China

Lorenzo became Managing Director China with GAP Inc in February 2010. Prior to that, he has held a number of key senior positions within the group. Before joining GAP, Lorenzo was the President with East China Tesco stores. Lorenzo has an energy that is infectious and this has often been a catalyst for extreme change.
 
  Jacques Sinke
Director of International Retail, MAB Development Group, The Netherlands

Jacques is Head of the European Retail Marketing & Leasing departments of MAB Development (part of RABO Real Estate Group), one of the leading retail and mixed use property developers in Europe. Inspiring projects in the present portfolio include major retail and mixed use schemes such as MyZeil Frankfurt and Domus Paris. Jacques is a retail and real estate marketing professional with broad ranging commercial management experience. He started his career in retail, before joining MAB in 1995.
  Jamie Waring
Managing Director, IS Wellness, Thailand

Jamie joined Six Senses Resorts & Spas in early 2005 in the role of Group Operations Director and progressed to Managing Director in January 2006. He has helped to develop the number of award-winning spas from 10-25. In December 2008 Jamie took on the role of Chief Operating Officer, overseeing Six Senses global resorts and spa operations. He joined Six Senses Spas having been with David Lloyd Leisure, where he held the role of Regional Manager, overseeing several Health and Racquet clubs in the UK.

  Phil McArthur
Senior Vice President-India, Ivanhoe Cambridge, India

Phil McArthur is the Senior Vice President, India, of Canadian-based Ivanhoe Cambridge. Based in New Delhi, he is responsible for Ivanhoe Cambridge’s shopping centre development efforts in India. Over the past 28 years, Phil has developed an excellent international reputation in the shopping centre industry in North America, the Middle East and North Africa. He has a long association with the International Council of Shopping Centers as a past president and member of the Board of the Middle East Council of Shopping Centres and a Past Trustee. He is presently Vice Chairman of the ICSC-India Advisory Board.


 
 

Philip Evans
Director – Retail Leasing
Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate

Philip Evans joined Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate as Director of Retail Leasing in 2008. A recognised retail specialist, Evans is primarily responsible for directing a strategic approach to retail leasing for two current Festival Centre projects in Dubai Festival City and Cairo Festival City totalling five million sq ft gross leasable area.
With more than 25 years of leasing and asset management experience, Evans has held a number of strategic positions and prior to joining Al-Futtaim he was a Partner with global real estate consultants, Cushman & Wakefield. His experience spans a variety of markets including Syria, Jordan, Greece, Turkey, Cyprus, Romania and Bulgaria. He has also been a main board member of the British Council of Shopping Centre and Vice Chairman of the Greek Committee of the International Council of Shopping Centres.
