Tim
Sleep
Director, Ernst & Young, Australia Tim
has worked in and around the retail sector for 12 years and
is a Director in the retail team at Ernst & Young. He
has worked extensively in the UK, France, Central Europe and
throughout the Asia Pacific market.
Tim is responsible
for the global relationship between Ernst & Young and
some of the largest UK retailers and looks after the international
expansion division of retail, working with several UK and
international retailers in shaping their ‘end-to-end’
market entry strategy into India and other emerging markets.
Other projects which Tim has managed within the retail environment
include risk management reviews and operational reviews.In
addition to this, Tim is a well-known speaker within the retail
sector. |

Belinda
Earl,
Group Chief Executive of Jaeger, UK Belinda
holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Economics and Business from The
University of Wales, Aberystwyth. In 2003 she became a Fellow
of the University. She started her career at Harrods, as a
graduate trainee and held various Buying and Management positions
in the Fashion Division. In 1985, she joined Debenhams and
held a number of senior positions in Buying and Merchandising
in men’s, women’s, children’s wear and accessories.
Belinda was appointed a Director of Debenhams in 1991. She
became a Trading Director in 1998 and was responsible for
homeware, cosmetics and Designers at Debenhams and joined
the board of Debenhams plc in March 1999. Belinda was the
Chief Executive of Debenhams from 2000 - 2003 and joined Jaeger
as Group Chief Executive in 2004. Belinda is also a Patron
of Skillsmart, a trailblazing sector skills council for the
retail sector and held the position of Chair from 2002 - 2004.
She was awarded a Fellowship of the City and Guilds of London
Institute (FCGI) in November 2006. |

Andrew
Levermore
CEO, HyperCity, India Andrew
is a South African with 24 years international retailing experience
across such diverse trading locations as small Central African
towns and Regent Street in London. His retail career began
with Edgars in South Africa. Andrew’s various leadership
positions since have covered operations, merchandising and
buying. His experience includes a number of years with House
of Fraser in the UK. Later, Andrew was to become Managing
Director of a chain of apparel stores trading across five
southern and central African countries. Managing Director
of both a department store chain and homeware chain followed
before he took up his current assignment in India in 2004. |

Ibrahim
Ibrahim
MD, Portland Design, UK
Ibrahim
is the Managing Director of Portland — the London-based
branding and environmental design consultancy specialising
in the retail, leisure and travel sectors. Ibrahim holds post
graduate degrees from the Royal College of Art and Imperial
College London and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
He is a regular speaker at conferences and a frequent contributor
to journals and trade press.
During his 20 years in design consultancy Ibrahim has worked
with clients in Europe, the Middle East, Central and South
East Asia and South America, and has worked extensively in
the Gulf where his clients have included ADNOC, ENOC, Dubai
Airport, Abu Dhabi Airport, Nakheel, Paris Gallery, Axiom
Telecom, Landmark Group, Majid Al Futtaim, Jashanmal, Sama
Dubai,
Portland's understanding of consumers’ relationship
with brands and their interaction with branded environments
lies at the heart of their work and is the basis of Ibrahim’s
presentation. |

Ford
Chief Executive, The Mall, UK
Ken
has been Chief Executive of The Mall since 2002 and has overseen
the growth of The Mall fund from 11 shopping malls worth £656
million to a current portfolio of 23 branded Malls valued
at over £3 billion. The Mall is now the UK’s leading
owner and operator of community shopping malls.
Ken has been involved in commercial property for 30 years
and has been a Director of Capital & Regional plc since
1997. |

Hand
Managing Director,
Head of China Retail,
Jones Lang LaSalle, Beijing David
Hand is the Beijing Managing Director and Head of China Retail
for Jones Lang LaSalle. Based in Hong Kong from 1997 and Beijing
since 2001, he has worked with a diverse range of local and
international clients comprising developers, government, investors
and occupiers of all property sectors. On a daily basis, David
oversees the operations of the investment, agency, property
management, project development, residential and research
and consultancy divisions of Jones Lang LaSalle Beijing.
With four years experience
in Europe and nine years in Asia, David is one of the most
experienced international advisors currently based in China.
He has worked on
more than 30 shopping centre projects in Asia and his multi-sectoral
experience enables him to advise upon large mixed-use projects
in China where a broad base of expertise is required.

Menno
Maas
Chief Executive Officer of ING Real Estate Development
and Member of the
Management Board of ING Real Estate, The Netherlands
Maas
joined ING Real Estate on 1 July, 2006 from the position of
Managing Director of Amvest, a Dutch real estate asset management
and development company focusing on the residential sector.
Maas started his career as Assistant Professor at the Free
University in Amsterdam in 1980. He worked as appointed Acquisition
Manager at ABN AMRO real estate Development Company from 1985
to 1991. In 1991 he joined PGGM Pension Fund, first as Property
Acquisition Manager Netherlands and later as Portfolio Manager
France. After PGGM’s and Aegon’s real estate departments
merged to form Amvest in 1997, Maas took up the position of
Commercial Director at the new company. Maas was appointed
Managing Director of Amvest in 2000.

Michael
Green
Chief Executive, BCSC, UK Michael
Green spent 20 years with Marks & Spencer. He was responsible
for the company taking a leading role in the development of
Town Centre Management schemes throughout the country. Michael
then joined MEPC, at the time the second largest property
company in the country, helping it work more closely with
some of its 1,200 retail tenants in their shopping centres.
After leaving MEPC he started his own consultancy, GTT Associates,
which specialised in the implementation of business plans
and funding for the management of town and city centres throughout
the UK. |

Design Group Inc, USA
As
Development Design Group's CEO and hands-on Principal-in-Charge,
Roy oversees the design and execution of retail, entertainment,
hospitality, office, residential and mixed-use projects of
every imaginable scale in all corners of the globe. The many
projects that bear his imprint include the 2002 ICSC International
Design Award winner for renovation, Menlyn Park in South Africa;
the plan for the new capital of Turkmenistan; Istinye Park
in Istanbul, Turkey; CocoWalk in Miami, Florida; LoureShopping
in Lisbon, Portugal; and The USArts District in Washington,
