Baglioni Hotels is a family run Italian group of 10 five star luxury hotels throughout Europe.
Baglioni Hotels currently has properties in Italy’s Milan, Rome, Venice, Florence and Punta Ala in Tuscany, Aix-en-Provence, Champillon-Epernay and Saint Paul de Vence in France, and London, England.
The city hotels of the collection are all in the heart of historical city centres, and the hotels in France and Punta Ala are beautiful villas surrounded by nature and breathtaking views and landscapes.

Roberto Polito founded the Baglioni Collection in 1973 with his first property in Punta Ala, but it was soon clear that Baglioni brand was destined to expand in Italy and worldwide.
Mr Guido Polito, who took over from his father Roberto as CEO last month, said: “After opening hotels in the most important Italian cities, we moved into Europe, in France and London.
“Last year we had to leave three of our properties that were part of the collection since the beginning: Grand Hotel Baglioni (Bologna), Due Torri Hotel Baglioni (Verona) and Hotel Bernini Palace (Florence).
We needed to focus on properties that reflect the value of the brand and have great potential.

“Apart from the next opening in Morocco, we look with great interest to markets like India, but also more established markets like Paris and New York.”
Relais Santa Croce, Florence, is the most recent Baglioni Hotel, acquired in 2009. It is a private house dating back 1700, situated in the medieval centre of the city. With only 25 rooms and suites, it is the perfect location for travellers in search of an intimate atmosphere, like a home away from home.

After two years under the Baglioni Hotels management, Relais Santa Croce recently became part of Relais & Chateaux Association – a hand-picked selection of fine hotels and resorts around the world.
Polito said: “We are going to open a resort in Marrakech in cooperation with internationally recognised partners like Jade Jagger for Yoo, Six Senses Spa and Ajensa, at the beginning of 2012.
“Ideal requirements when we search new properties for our portfolio are the location – ideally in the heart of the city centres or immersed in nature, surrounded by great historical and artistic heritage; the historical and artistic value of the building; unique details in guest rooms and common areas; furniture of great quality and design and breathtaking views."
