The company’s latest opening was the 240-room ITC Gardenia in the garden city of Bengaluru. The hotel is the world’s largest LEED platinum building and has received several international and domestic accolades since its inception.

Nakul Anand, Executive Director of ITC Ltd, speaks about the last 12 months. He said: “2011 has been a significant year for ITC Hotels. Along with being recognised as the most profitable chain in the country, it has been a landmark year as several of our endeavours over the last two decades have borne fruit – including LEED platinum ratings in all ITC Hotels, making it the greenest luxury hotel chain in the world.

“The company has also been voted India’s most trusted hotel brand through public voting at the recent Times Travel honours awards by the Times of India – the world’s largest circulated English daily.

“This year will also see the opening of another iconic hotel in the city of Chennai – the ITC Grand Chola. A destination in itself, it will integrate all of our learning over the years and will mark a return of ITC Hotels to the city where the ITC Hotels journey began over three decades ago.”
