Martin Armitstead, SVP Development EMEA at Wyndham Hotel Group, said: “The vast majority of our hotels in EMEA are franchised, with three managed properties in the portfolio: the Wyndham Grand London Chelsea Harbour, Wyndham Grand Regency Doha and Ramada Encore Doha. “In March 2011 we announced the addition of the first Wyndham Grand property in the Middle East – the Wyndham Grand Regency Doha. This is a 246-room hotel centrally located in the Qatari capital’s Al Sadd area, 15km from Doha International Airport.

“As well as fantastic F&B options and state-of-the-art health club, the hotel has an extensive business centre and large events space for up to 900 people, making it ideal for business and leisure travellers alike.
“In the UK, and at the other end of the Wyndham spectrum, the 154-bed Days Inn Liverpool City Centre opened in March and is testament to the pride we take in all our properties, from budget through to five star.”
Armitstead said the Wyndham Grand brand is the company’s flagship, forming part of its signature Wyndham Grand Collection of hotels that embody the best of Wyndham, with refined accommodation, attentive service and relaxed surroundings.

He added: “We continue to grow our core regional brands of Wyndham, Ramada (including Ramada Encore), and Days Inn. In addition we are introducing our budget offering, Super 8®, to the region, having recently announced the launch of the development of a cluster of these in Poland.”
Last year the company acquired the rights to four new brands – Planet Hollywood; Tryp from Sol Melia, which currently covers 94 properties and is set to grow; and two boutique offerings, Dream® and Night®.
Since signing the deal with Planet Hollywood, the brand has announced plans to manage three new-construction Planet Hollywood Hotels® in Central America, the Middle East and Asia.
