Staggering in its size, Ptak Trade
Centre is set to grow yet larger with the
addition of Ptak Expo, a multi-function
project that includes a brand new outlet.
RLI talks to Tomasz Szypula, Leasing
Manager and Member of the Supervisory
Board, Ptak Holdings, to find out more!
Founded in 1993, Ptak Holding is the
owner of the largest wholesale and retail
complex in Europe at around 120,000sq
m. Ptak Trade Center is situated in in
Lodz in the centre of Poland and is home to
over 2,500 domestic and foreign businesses,
attracting six million customers a year from
Poland, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Lithuania,
Latvia and Estonia, as well as the Czech
Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, France, Romania
and Germany.
Now, a new element is being introduced: PTAK
Expo is a unique project, and one of the largest
investment undertakings in Central-Eastern
Europe, that will establish eight new zones of
economic activity in an area of some 200ha:Expo Zone, the Congress and Hotel Centre,
including Entertainment Zone; a Permanent
Exhibition and Trade Zone, the Ptak Outlet,
Retail Park, Residential Zone and Logistics and
Production Zone, including free customs area.
The initial stage of this innovative
investment, the construction of Ptak Outlet,
has already commenced and at 27,000sq
m, will provide the largest clothing outlet in
Poland. The outlet is scheduled to open in
October 2012.
Construction of the outlet is proceeding
as planned, with around 75 per cent of the
external building works completed. Finishing
works, both interior and exterior, are underway
and the premises will be made ready for individual tenants from July.
Commercialisation of the facility will be
delivered in two phases: the first phase will
cover approximately 11,000sq m and the
company has good reason to believe that
some 90-100 per cent of the commercial
and catering spaces will be successfully
rented out.
There are expected to be in the region
of 145 stores and a comfortable foodcourt
with six restaurants established throughout
the facility. Key tenants include leading
brands such as Adidas, Nike, Reebok,
Puma, Reserved, House, Pierre Cardin,
Gabor and Vero Moda, as well as many
other international sports, clothing and
footwear brands.
“Ptak Outlet is the first facility of this type
in the region and its immediate impact on
the population will cover several millions of
consumers,” says Tomasz Szypula, Leasing
Manager and Member of the Supervisory Board at Ptak SA Trade Center. “We expect
Ptak Outlet to become an over-regional
centre due to its size, immediate vicinity to
the already-operating 120,000sq m Ptak
Wholesale Centre and the construction of
the other new economic zones.”
