Location Group offers retailers and owners of retail properties the necessary know-how in the expansion and the economic assessment of retail locations.
Here, RLI talks to founder and CEO, Marc-Christian Riebe, to find out more about the group’s exceptional skill set.
Offering retailers and owners of retail properties the necessary know-how in the expansion and the economic assessment of retail locations, Zurich-based Location Group was established by a group of professional property and retail experts.
The group has extensive insight into retail properties in the Swiss and international markets and, due to a high demand for luxury boutiques, Location Luxury was subsequently founded. With its connections and partnerships with other retail real estate counterparts around the world, the group is able to offer its clients a wide range
of services.
Location Luxury has sound local and international market knowledge and profound advisory skills. In combination with the necessary flair this provides it with early access to information regarding which locations expect changes, enabling them to be planned for. Location Luxury is also valued by owners of the top retail properties and by investors, which have been advised in the selection of the optimal tenant, keeping fluctuation down and providing a good return and an attractive mix of tenants.

RLI asked Marc-Christian Riebe, founder and CEO of Location Group, what he viewed as the group’s key point of difference as opposed to other property specialists; what are its strengths and the key drivers behind its success to date?
“Our service is to connect our clients by assisting two or more parties in accomplishing an optimal win-win situation,” he explains. “It is our company’s core corporate value to provide consultation as a professional, dedicated and fair partner. We are familiar with the most frequented luxury retail strips globally.”
At Location Luxury, the rule of thumb is the avoidance or, if ascertained, the disclosure of any possible conflict of interest. The group offers a capable international network.

“We always view the success of a business transaction as the basis of a long-term customer relationship,” continues Riebe. “We know when to be open and act, and when to be discrete. This business ethic applies not only to our business partners, but also to the general public, competitors and to all our employees.”
Location is working to expand in several countries worldwide and is in the process of creating a customer bank website for retail managers and investors/landlords, which will allow them to visit the main shopping streets worldwide and assess the retail situation, saving a lot of travel time.
In addition, the group publishes an annual Retail Market Study on the commercial real estate situation worldwide.
