Dynamic Resources delivers a full spectrum of retail services including construction, fitout, renovation, maintenance, graphic installation and site surveys throughout Europe and North America. RLI spoke to Managing Director, Gerry Walsh, about the company’s secret to success and its plans for the future.
Dynamic Resources was founded in New York in 1994 by Evan Giniger to meet the evolving needs of large retail brands to have a single group manage their in-store image across widespread geographical locations. The company quickly became a market leader and a name to be reckoned with.
In 2004, Evan and Gerry Walsh founded Dynamic Resources International Ltd in London to deliver the same spectrum of services throughout Europe. With offices in New York, London, Portland, USA and Dublin, the company continues to expand.
Gerry Walsh, Managing Director, said: “We became the single point of contact for a retailer to call on to do anything from individual or multiple fixture and graphic installations to site surveys, renovation and store construction.”
Globally Dynamic Resources now services over 150 clients and completes over 9,000 projects every year. While it is clear that the last 18 months have been challenging across all sectors, Dynamic Resources has been able to grow its business significantly by adjusting and adapting their offering to their client’s needs. Gerry said this is attributed to the company’s standard of service.
“There is nothing more important than good service. Service means that we listen, we understand, and we never take for granted the work entrusted to us. We see our clients stretched thinner across all areas – staffing, budgets, timing, etc as they are being asked to do more with less. Dynamic has responded to this by offering both more services and ensuring that the service levels are kept consistent whether we are dealing with their small maintenance headaches or building their new stores."
“We have actually grown in market share, most aggressively in Europe. Our ability to deliver a consistent result - no matter where the location is – is one of the key drivers to our success to date. And our ability to execute within multiple locations over a short period is unique; we can manage simultaneous rollouts for a brand or retailer in Europe and US at the same time.”
Dynamic seeks to offer value-added services, such as their free internet reporting tool, iReact, which records and stores all information relating to the installs undertaken for the client to access at any time and seek other ways to save money for their clients without sacrificing quality. This has allowed them to build an enviable retail client list including Hugo Boss, Tommy Hilfiger, House of Fraser, Mexx, Prada, Nike, Levi-Strauss and Estee Lauder.
The next frontier for Dynamic will be working in the Far East and South America.
This is where our clients are going, and this is where we must go as well and we have already started working in these areas.
