RLI caught up with Jamie Webb, Divisional Director at Benoy, the international Architecture, Masterplanning, Interior and Graphic Design firm to discuss the Benoy offer. Webb joined the business last year to bolster the practice’s Residential and Mixed-use portfolio.
When reflecting on the past 12 months, Webb said that he finds Benoy “refreshing, positive and stimulating and it feels good to be part of a team that offers such a distinct approach to design and service.” Webb pointed out that he is looking forward to combining his creative style and proven international experience with Benoy’s commercial know-how and expertise to design – and ultimately deliver – projects anywhere in the world. “I’m delighted to have joined Benoy at such an exciting time, particularly as we begin to evolve our global portfolio.”

As the practice moves forward, Webb will also be looking to strengthen Benoy’s offer in the London market. RLI asked what, in his opinion, is Benoy’s most important investment over the past 12 months? “In one word, design,” he said. Investment in design is fundamental to Benoy’s ongoing success and 2015 saw a real increase in emphasis across the entire practice. Benoy has always nurtured its creative talent across all levels and the recruitment of people such as Webb is certainly proof of this enhanced focus. With the recent appointment of a Global Director of Talent, Penny Illston, it is clear that Benoy is keen not just to recruit but also retain and promote its team.
