Joules Reports Strong Christmas Results

The British premium lifestyle brand has reported a strong trading update for their retail channels during the Christmas period.

Total retail sales through Joules’ websites have increased by as much as 66 per cent year on year. This strong e-commerce performance highlights the continued strength of the Joules brand and its product proposition, which comprises its core Joules clothing, footwear and accessories collections.

Although the brands ecommerce performance has been strong, this has been countered by a 58 per cent decline in store sales, as a result of the enforced closure of stores due to the latest UK lockdown. During the periods that the stores were able to trade, revenue was down by 23 per cent compared to previous years.

Total retail revenue through Joules’ own-branded retail channels during the period was up by 0.3 per cent against the prior year, with the growth in Joules e-commerce sales more than offsetting the decline from stores.
