Shop The Night Away will deliver another tier of fashion-focused deals, discounts and activities to the month-long Dubai Shopping Festival.
Dubai’s retail scene will get another shot in the arm this month with the launch of a new initiative.
‘Shop The Night Away’ is a series of four events at four of the city’s most popular malls and is designed to deliver another tier of deals, discounts and activities to the month-long Dubai Shopping Festival.
Now a staple on the city’s event calendar, the Dubai version of the traditional January sales has been running since 1996, with sweeping reductions on 2018 stock. For 2019, this new component seeks to add even more benefits to the mix – perhaps a sign that these days even a sale requires more than a simple discount.
Beginning with Wednesday night’s event at The Outlet Village in Jebel Ali, the fashion-focused Shop The Night Away will see additional savings, giveaways and prizes for one evening only. The event will then move to the Dubai Mall (January 16), Mall of the Emirates (January 23) and Dubai Festival City (January 30), with the promise of in-store events such as styling sessions, panel talks and makeovers.
250 outlets taking part
“As part of the five-week packed programme of sales, promotions and entertainment, we have worked closely with our strategic partners to create even more incredible shopping experiences, including the first ever Shop the Night Away initiative,” commented Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO, Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of Dubai Tourism.
“The exciting new activation will offer shoppers extra value deals at some of the city’s most popular malls each Wednesday from 6pm throughout the festival, further cementing Dubai’s position as a leading international retail destination and the home of unmissable shopping.”
In total, more than 250 outlets have confirmed their participation, including some of the biggest brands in fashion. Givenchy, Calvin Klein, Coach, Karen Millen, Tommy Hilfiger, Harvey Nichols and Bloomingdale’s are just some of the names hoping to tempt shoppers down this month.
