The huge indoor ski slope, which is complete with real snow and is located in the Reem Mall retail project, is now nearly completed.
Occupying an area of 100,000sq ft, the nearly completed Snow Abu Dhabi is ‘one of the world’s largest snow parks.’ The attraction will be divided into a number of distinct, whimsical zones with each featuring a cast of special character and housing multiple rides and attractions that have been co-conceived by Al Farwaniya Property Developers, Majid Al Futtaim Ventures and Thinkwell.
When it launches, Reem Mall, which occupies 2 million square feet will house 450 shops, along with the new leisure concept – Snow Abu Dhabi. The park will be kept at a cool temperature of -2˚C, and will boast a 500mm covering of snow, to offer an all-year round spot for fun.
The rides at Snow Abu Dhabi include The Flight of the Snowy Owl, Ice & Floes Toboggan Race and Gruppel’s Summit Escape, The Magic Carpet, Polar Express Train, Crystal Caousel and Ice and Floes Bumper Tubes. The Snowflake Garden will provide a space for guests to enjoy ice labyrinths, snowball fights and other snow-based games.
