Gentle Monster has unveiled a pop-up space in collaboration with artist Kris Wu in Shanghai, China.
The pop-up is situated two floors up from its Shanghai flagship store, the Kris Wu x Gentle Monster pop-up store, themed The Roller, features architecture design that is inspired by a parking lot layout. The Roller houses a variety of symbolistic elements reflecting Kris Wu’s interest in high-speed racing and a glamorous lifestyle.
At the end of the hallway is the pop-up’s entrance. When entering the space, visitors will see two large monitors displaying the Gentle Wu Collection. A “futuristic vehicle” is displayed in a small opened room, surrounded by glass walls. With the backdrop of a roller-skating rink, The Roller allows visitors to experience various activities in a unique space, the company said in a statement.
At The Roller, visitors can find two Shanghai-exclusive sunglasses and a Gentle Wu glove with extra metal accessories which were not available in the previously launched ‘Gentle Wu’ Collection. The Kris Wu x Gentle Monster pop-up space in Shanghai is running for two months and began on 18 July.
