Abu Dhabi is gearing up to host the inaugural Abu Dhabi Sail Grand Prix, which is set to take place on 13 and 14 January 2024.
The racing event will take place at Abu Dhabi’s Mina Zayed and will feature the world’s top athletes representing national teams from around the world, competing on the water in hydrofoiling F50 catamarans capable of speeds nearing 100 km/h.
Presented in partnership with SailGP’s Global Series Partner, Mubadala Investment Company, and the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, this event marks a significant addition to the Season 4 schedule of SailGP. The championship series is known for its high-speed action and is one of the fastest-growing sports leagues globally.
Ten teams from Australia, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Great Britain, New Zealand, Spain, Switzerland, and the United States will compete over two days, racing close to the shore in Abu Dhabi’s port.
