The globally recognised retailer has opened its new flagship store on Tauentzienstrasse in the Wet of Berling under the motto ‘Renew Berlin’.
The new flagship store boasts a comprehensive sustainability concept as well as a special focus on personalised shopping experiences. In order to integrate the character of the capital into the flagship, Adidas has co-operating with a number of local communities and associations.
In addition, Adidas has integrated a Berlin Local Shop into the store which offers a number of products with lettering related to the capital that Adidas designed with Berlin artists. The heart of the store however is the Green Lab where shoppers are able to freshen up their old products with fresh colours and designs.
Plant showcases throughout the store create a connection to nature and also purify the air, the so-called air factories are equipped with pumps that circulate the air through the soil and through the plants themselves in order to rid them of pollutants.
“We are very happy about our new flagship store in Berlin. Germany is our home, this is where the heart of our brand beats. If we get people in the capital excited about the three stripes, it has an important impact on the rest of the country,” says Roland Auschel, Board Member, Adidas AG, responsible for global sales.
