Adolfo Dominguez Returns to Argentina

The renowned Spanish firm Adolfo Domínguez officially returned to Argentina with the opening of a new store in the exclusive Patio Bullrich, in the Buenos Aires neighbourhood of Recoleta.

The label, a symbol of so-called quiet luxury, is thus resuming its presence in the local market after more than a decade’s absence, in a context where several international brands are once again investing in the country.

Adolfo Domínguez’s history in Argentina dates back to 1999, when it opened its first store on Arenales Street, very close to the shopping centre that now welcomes it back.

In the following years, it expanded its presence with stores in Unicenter and Galerías Pacífico. In 2010, the company outsourced its operations to a franchisee, a model it is now implementing again for its return.

According to the local news site Apertura, this new phase is being led by the Adoar Group, founded by businesswomen Selene Rojas, from Paraguay and Lourdes Stewart, from Argentina. They launched the brand in Paraguay two years ago and are now spearheading its local relaunch.

The expansion plan includes opening three stores within four years, accompanied by a significant investment, the amount of which has not been disclosed. With its return, Adolfo Domínguez seeks to re-establish itself in the premium fashion segment, combining elegance, sophistication and timeless design.
