The discount grocery retailer intends to open 100 new stores throughout 2021 and will add a new regional headquarters to support their ongoing plans.

Aldi is focusing on key locations including Arizona, Florida, California and the Northeast and is also breaking ground on a new regional headquarters and distribution centre that will be located in Loxley, Alabama. The distribution centre will occupy an area of 564,000sq ft and will be equipped to serve as many as 100 stores across Alabama, Southern Georgia, Mississippi, the Florida Panhandle and Louisiana.

As well as focusing on expanding their store footprint, Aldi US intends to expand its curbside pickup service to more than 500 additional sites by the end of the year.
