The globally-renowned retailer has opened its first brick-and-mortar store in Malaysia, with hundreds of people queueing up for their first visit upon launch.

The location, announced last month, is Apple’s sixth store in the region, following three in Singapore and two in Thailand.

“Being able to support and directly connect with a new community is always a special experience for our retail teams and we can’t wait to welcome customers to this beautiful space designed for discovery, creativity and shopping for the world’s most innovative products,” said Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s Senior VP of Retail.

The store is spread over three levels and connects the mall’s central atrium with a rooftop park that winds around the upper level. The store’s front and quartz staircase are both made of glass. The Forum, which houses Today at Apple programmes, is situated on a floating deck.
