Arada Awards $108m Rove Aljada Hotel Sharjah Contract

Sharjah real estate developer Arada has awarded a construction contract worth AED397m ($108m) to build the Rove Aljada hotel cluster, a key hospitality development within the AED35bn ($9.5bn) Aljada megaproject.

The contract was awarded to Modern Building Contracting Company (MBCC), which will begin construction immediately.

Completion is scheduled for December 2027, marking another major milestone in Sharjah’s largest mixed-use development.

Located next to the upcoming Arada Central Business District (CBD) and Madar Mall, the Rove Aljada cluster will comprise four interconnected blocks featuring both hotel and branded residential offerings.

The Rove Aljada hotel will include 192 rooms, a rooftop swimming pool, co-working spaces, a 24-hour gym, and an all-day dining restaurant among other amenities.

Meanwhile, Rove Home Aljada will deliver 306 branded residences and serviced apartments, with one-, two-, and three-bedroom layouts featuring a colourful, contemporary design.

Facilities will include a private gym, swimming pool, café, restaurant, co-working areas, and ground-floor retail outlets.

Commenting on the announcement, Ahmed Alkhoshaibi, Group CEO of Arada, said: “We are absolutely committed to delivering world-class amenities to support the growth of this transformational new destination, and this contract award is further evidence of that.

“With the introduction of Rove’s fresh and dynamic hospitality concept, we are responding to rising demand from both business and leisure travelers seeking smart, connected and design-led experiences in Sharjah.”

The Rove Aljada development reinforces Arada’s vision of transforming the Aljada megaproject into Sharjah’s premier destination for living, business, and leisure.

Once complete, Aljada will feature residential communities, commercial spaces, entertainment hubs, hotels, and educational facilities across an integrated urban masterplan that continues to attract significant investment to Sharjah’s economy.

The Rove brand, known for its youthful design and tech-driven hospitality model, will further strengthen Aljada’s appeal to next-generation travellers and residents seeking modern, lifestyle-oriented experiences.
