DTZ Investors has announced the relocation of Big Licks to Printworks Manchester, reinforcing the assets’ evolving food and beverage offering and supporting its strategy to broaden appeal among families and daytime visitors.
Relocating from Deansgate, the popular burger and dessert café brings its signature handmade organic Scottish ice cream, premium smash burgers and indulgent shakes to Printworks – adding a new, family-friendly operator to the leisure mix.
Founded in Glasgow in 2008, Big Licks has grown from a single takeaway to a multi-location brand with venues in Glasgow, Renfrew and central Manchester. Known for its first quality ethos and locally sourced ingredients, Big Licks has developed a loyal following across Scotland and the North.
Anees Ahmed, Managing Director at Big Licks, said: “We’re super excited to open in Printworks – an iconic entertainment venue that continues to evolve. At Big Licks, quality is at the heart of everything we do, from our carefully sourced ingredients to the fun and welcoming experience we create for our guests. We’re looking forward to serving up our signature dishes to families and friends.”
Situated opposite Vue, the new Big Licks unit includes seating for 50 and launches with an exclusive in-venue promotional partnership designed to drive cross-traffic. The offer – a complimentary small Slush with any £20+ spend for valid cinema ticket holders – aims to capitalise on Printworks’ strong entertainment-led footfall and enhance customer spend per visit.
