A must-visit luxury destination in Portugal, Avenida da Liberdade recently welcomed the Swiss luxury watch brand Breitling, founded in 1884, which opened its first Portuguese boutique at No. 12A.
The new Breitling boutique officially opened its doors in the presence of Georges Kern, Breitling’s CEO, Pedro Rosas, CEO of David Rosas and actor Álvaro Morte, the brand’s international ambassador, at an event that marked “another step in Breitling’s European expansion, which chose the Portuguese capital to open an exclusive 50sq m space, developed in partnership with David Rosas,” the Portuguese company said in a statement.
Edouard d’Arbaumont, Breitling’s General Manager for Southern Europe, noted that, with this opening in Lisbon, the brand is strengthening its presence in the Iberian Peninsula with a project “where tradition and innovation coexist in perfect harmony,” concluding: “We look forward to welcoming local clients and enthusiasts of the Breitling world in an environment that reflects our pioneering spirit.”
Pedro Rosas stressed: “We have worked side by side to create a space where the timeless elegance of its watches will merge with our tradition of service excellence: a true embodiment of the legacy and heritage of both houses.”
Founded in 1984 in Porto and a representative of leading jewellery and watchmaking brands in the national market, David Rosas is no stranger to partnering with leading names in the sector to open stores in the country. The company has collaborated with Swiss watch brands Patek Philippe and TAG Heuer and with the French luxury jewellery brand Chaumet on the opening of boutiques, all on Avenida da Liberdade.
