Brent Cross Town Hits Milestone

The development has launched its retail offering at Neighbourhood Square in the next phase of its £8bn masterplan.

Related Argent is pleased to announce that it has secured two exciting new brands for Brent Cross Town’s new high street: the first hospitality venue by Urban Leisure Group and a new grocery store by Co-op. This marks the next milestone for Related Argent’s £8bn park town with Barnet Council.

The new hospitality venue and grocery store will both open in the first phase of Brent Cross Town, developed in partnership with Invesco Real Estate and overlook Neighbourhood Square – the town’s newest public space and the focal point of the development’s high street.

Urban Leisure Group’s 7,400sq ft venue will be the first hospitality offering in Brent Cross Town, with a prime position overlooking Neighbourhood Square. Locals and visitors will enjoy seasonal dishes, excellent wine and cocktails and a wide selection of beers on tap in a relaxed indoor and alfresco setting, with the outdoor seating area overlooking the square’s striking water fountain. There will also be a well-stocked retail offering with beer, wine and provisions to go. This will be the 10th venue by Urban Leisure Group, the team behind Alice House in West Hampstead and Queens Park, Coin Laundry on Exmouth Market and Heist Bank in Paddington. The venue is set to open its doors in spring next year.

Co-op’s 3,000sq ft store will play a central role in everyday life. The leading convenience retailer offers a wide range of fresh and healthy produce, hot food, Fairtrade products and everyday essentials. The store is set to open in time for Christmas. Brent Cross Town’s recruitment hub will be actively promoting job opportunities to the local community meaning the Urban Leisure Group and Co-op will be investing in the neighbourhood’s future as well as providing essential services.

Adding to the line-up are new indoor padel courts at The 108 – Europe’s first indoor venue for baseball and softball. The courts add to the existing dual-sport batting cages and the American Bar & Grill, tapping into the growing demand for competitive socialising space and underpinning the vision for Brent Cross Town to be London’s go-to destination for ‘participation in sport and play’.
