The Urban hotel collection has officially launched the first three properties located in Greece, in Athens.
The opening of Brown Acropol, DAVE Red Athens and Villa Brown Ermou, signals the third international location for the Tel Aviv-born hotel group. These hotels are the first three of seven new properties set to launch in Greece by Brown Hotels. DAVE Red Athens opened this July whilst Villa Brown Ermou opened in Mid-May.
The latest to open is Brown Acropol is a 165 room and suite hotel located on Athens’ Omonia Square. The lobby is complete with the signature Brown Hotels library and a mural that has been created by A. Pikionis. Guests are welcomed by a retro-inspired cocktail bar with panelled oak, dusky pink and gold furnishings.
The hotel’s spacious rooftop is one of the largest in the city and offers unobstructed panoramic views of the Athenian cityscape and the renowned Acropolis. The rooftop offering is complete with a bar, sun beds, hammocks, outdoor showers, a fully equipped gym and four outdoor hot tubs that are available for use both day and night.
Leon Avigad, Founder of Brown Hotels, says: “We believe that Athens is a destination on the rise, taking the opportunity to expand early into the market. Greece has much more to offer than just the islands – Athens has a vibrant art, cultural and nightlife scene and we’re excited to play a part in the revival of the city. Having partnered with many local talents such as architects, designers, chefs and mixologists, we’re proud to be involved with cultivating the creative community in Athens.”
