The espadrille specialist firm continues its international expansion. As part of its growth strategy, Castañer has opened a new store in Italy, located at number 33 on the central Via del Babuino in Rome.
The new store, which has been conceived under the firm’s classic concept, inspired by the Mediterranean and artisanal, offers a large selection of Castañer pieces, including its new autumn/winter collection.
“With the new opening, we continue to expand our international trajectory by bringing our artisanal essence and innovation to the heart of Rome. The commitment to our ‘heritage’ and ‘slow made’ have defined our trajectory since 1927. This city is the perfect setting to present our latest autumn/winter 2024 collection,” explained the Castañer family in a statement.
With this opening, the firm is strengthening its presence on the European continent, where it also operates its own boutique in Paris, in addition to its spaces in Spain. In Spain, it already has a total of 24 points of sale, including its own stores and corners in El Corte Inglés , spread across cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Malaga, where it opened the shutters last summer on a new store designed under its new concept.
Founded in 1927 by Luis Castañer and his cousin Tomás Serra, the brand based in Bañolas, Girona, is managed by the family company Espadrilles Banyoles, SL, owned by the Castañer family. It is currently present in more than 20 markets through a commercial network of some 30 own stores and more than 900 multi-brand points of sale.
