Chanel Reopens Expanded Plaza 66 Flagship

The brand has reopened the site after an 18-month renovation, unveiling a three-storey space that now spans 2,973sq m, doubling its previous size.

It is the first location worldwide to house the full ‘Chanel ecosystem’, including fashion, watches, fine jewellery, beauty, fragrances, Les Ateliers and Les Salons Prive.

Redesigned by long-time collaborator Peter Marino, the boutique features polished white facades framed in black, vertical panels that resemble pleated fabric and natural light entering through the mall’s glass roof. The ground floor presents the latest handbags and accessories. A black-and-golden zone showcases watches and fine jewellery, including Coco Crush and No 5 pieces, alongside J12 and Premiere watches.

Three patrimoine high jewellery pieces are displayed in a VIP room decorated with camellia coromandel screens and Regency-era mirrors, referencing Chanel’s links to cinema. Meanwhile, the second floor features three salons with distinct colour themes, with the first opening with the Cruise 2026 collection.

A more private salon highlights Chanel’s black-and-white palette and connects to a large fitting room designed for hosting guests. The third salon, furnished with an Arnold Armand ‘Mali’ table, leads to an elevator tunnel lined with gold tweed-like walls.

On the lower ground floor, the Shoe Salon offers Coco Neige and carryover styles across two adjoining rooms fitted with floor-to-ceiling shelving and wool carpets.

VIP customers are served at Les Salons Prive on the mall’s third floor. Nearby are the brand’s beauty and fragrance boutique and Les Ateliers, its repair and alteration service.
