Chicken Salad Chick Targets Virginia

The fast-casual restaurant chain is intending to open six new locations in the state of Virginia through strategic franchise partnerships.

Chicken Salad Chick currently has two locations open in the greater Richmond area of Virginia, now the restaurant chain has revealed that it intends to open a further six locations across the state in the next two years. This forms part of the brand’s accelerated expansion plans which will see an additional 40 new restaurants open in key markets across the Southeast and Midwest regions.

Three of the planned six Virginia locations are set to open this year, with the first opening this month in Christiansburg. The other two openings are set for later this year in Hampton and Roanoke. Scott Deviney, Chief Executive Officer of Chicken Salad Chick, commented: “Having a massive presence throughout the south eastern region, Virginia is a natural progression to expand our national footprint.”

Looking to the future, the brand plans to have 50 new restaurant openings per year by 2022.
