A Cleveland-area shopping centre is taking a high-tech approach to ensure security and safety by deploying a security robot known as SAM.
Crocker Park has incorporated a next-gen security addition to its existing safety operations. The outdoor shopping and dining destination in Westlake, Ohio, has deployed an autonomous, AI-driven security robot, nicknamed Secret Agent Man, or SAM, to enhance its security infrastructure.
The robot – Knightscope’s K5 Autonomous Security Robot – is equipped with advanced security capabilities, providing real-time monitoring and proactive responses to potential security incidents. Moving at two to three MPH with a 360-degree view, the robot is on the lookout for security events such as theft, car accidents, fires, vandalism and more.
Sean Flanigan, VP of Security at Stark Enterprises says: “Our priority has always been to provide a safe and secure environment for everyone who visits our centre and the Knightscope robot will play a crucial role in enhancing our existing security measures.”
