DAMAC Returns with Mediterranean-Inspired The Lagoons

DAMAC Lagoons plans to recreate the visual elements of eight Mediterranean cities and countries.

The project is inspired by the cities of Venice, Morocco, Santorini, Costa Brava, Nice, Malta, Andalusia and Portofino. Each of these represents a different cluster in the development. The Venice area will host a fun hub, where guests can embark on a romantic gondola rides and enjoy a selection of waterside cafés. Meanwhile Santorini will host a cinema and fitness hub, a cycle track and black sand beach.

The Morocco cluster will offer a tranquillity hub with lagoon-facing infinity pools, a yoga meditation lawn and family cabanas. In contrast to this, Costa Brava will boast the adrenaline hub, which will feature zip lines, rock climbing, kayaking, paddle boarding and wave riding. Nice is expected to attract youngsters with a youth hub, bicycle trails and a skate park.

Malta is also child friendly with a play and learn hub, a sensory plaza, discovery maze, camping island and AR nature trail. Andalusia will feature a ladies’ hub with a fully-equipped ladies-only gym, a spa, beauty salon and meditation lounge close to the beach. Finally, Portofino will host the work & play hub, where business meets pleasure.
