Del Core Sets up London Store

Launched in December 2019 by 30-year-old Daniel Del Core, the Italian couture and women’s ready-to-wear house unveiled its very first collection in February 2021 in Milan has set up a 700sq m space in the Mayfair district.

This becomes the brand’s first permanent point of sale after the seasonal store opened last April in Sardinia, in Porto Cervo.

“This opening marks an important step for us, as it will allow Del Core to fully express its values and aesthetics while positioning itself in one of the most renowned luxury shopping areas in the world”, the designer commented in a statement. “This project highlights our bold and experimental approach, our love of nature and invention, our respect for materials and craftsmanship,” he continues.

Located at number 123/124 New Bond Street, the boutique was designed by the creative director “as a spatial extension of the fundamental principles of the house” in collaboration with the Parisian agency REV/Studio of Cristiano Benzoni and Sophie Thuillier, who had already worked on the Porto Cervo store.

The layout takes up the codes of the house with a couture approach – all the elements between furniture and decoration are made in-house in shiny black – and the organic mutant aesthetic, which characterises the brand. These black elements, including an imposing spiral staircase linking the three levels of the store fit into a milky atmosphere, floors, walls and ceilings being a pale bone-coloured white, the house’s signature.
