The new store is located in New York City at Fifth Avenue and the southeast corner of 59th Street, and will be in operation for around 2 years.
The store will temporarily replace the Dior flagship which is located on 57th Street between Fifth and Madison Avenue, which is currently undergoing renovations. The new two-level 6,480sq ft store is inspired by the Dior Champs-Élysées flagship in Paris and many of the elements and motifs are the same, most notable a high Cannage pattern wood dome, rising around 20 feet high in the centre of the Fifth Avenue store.
Pietro Beccari, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Christian Dior Couture, commented: “A temporary store can be a temporary store, or it can be an occasion. I believe in the fact that you need to exploit every chance you are given, or every chance you create for yourself, to represent a part of the brand or to further build the equity of the brand.”
Women’s categories include leather goods, footwear, ready-to-wear, fine jewellery and timepieces. Men’s categories include leather goods, footwear and ready-to-wear.
