Known as the Middle East’s biggest water theme park, Aquaventure has added a further 5.5 hectares to its existing 17 hectare.

Located on Palm Jumeirah, the mega destination has gone through the ‘biggest waterpark expansion in history.’ The additional space will house a combined 79 rides, including the longest slide in the world which measures at over 450 metres, attractions, 26 ‘marine experiences’, water sport activities and 26 F&B outlets.

The park is set to open in phases, with the first opening on March 1. The Trident Tower will be open to visitors from this date. At 48-metres high, Trident will feature 12 slides and attractions. Also opening on March 1 will be the Splashers Lagoon and Splashers Cove.

The expansions are expected to fuel even more popularity with visitors and the mega destination is setting its sights on attracting in the region of 2 million visitors per year.
