For the first time in 14 years, Ealing is getting its very own cinema in the form of a brand new multi-screen venue complete with live music & entertainment space.
The Ealing Project will open on Thursday 30 June at the site of the former Karma Club at the Ealing Broadway.
To celebrate the opening, the Ealing Project will be going back in time and freezing tickets at the 2008 price of £6 throughout July, the last year Ealing last had a cinema. From Jurassic World Dominion to Lightyear, The Ealing Project will be showcasing all of the year’s hottest blockbusters alongside a range of carefully selected independent films, as well as hosting comedy clubs, quiz evenings and lots of live music.
The new opening is from the team at Really Local Group, the people behind Catford Mews and Reading Biscuit Factory. Like its other venues, The Ealing Project will be more than your usual high street cinema, boasting a huge space for live music, events and exhibitions. During the day the space will be available to be used for co-working, grabbing a coffee or drink at the fully stocked bar and cafe, catching up with friends or for local groups to use as they need.
Preston Benson, Founder of Really Local Group commented: “We can’t wait to open the doors to The Ealing Project, breathing new life into a disused venue and bringing an exciting range of film and culture to the local community. We’re very proud of the space we’ve created and we’re confident Ealing locals and newcomers alike will enjoy the huge new space and rich programme of films, art installations and events.”
