The menswear fashion rental marketplace allows users to rent a range of ready-to-wear, occasion wear and accessories.
Garmentry operates on a commission based model; there is no fee to list items but 15 per cent charges are applied on each rental. Luxury brands and retailers are invited to use the platform to earn a revenue share from leftover stock from previous seasons.
The second-hand market has grown exceptionally popular over the past few years, and this market has been particularly driven by a younger and more environmentally-conscious customer. According to research conducted by Garmentry, around 70 per cent of men in the UK are lending clothing to each other and the majority of these were unaware of the rental business model available in womenswear.
Chief Executive Officer, Callum Bramley commented: “Over the last few months we’ve had a great response from our audience prior to launch, with hundreds of signups rom men around the country all wanting to rent or lend their wardrobe. We want this platform to revolutionise rental in menswear outside of suiting, enabling people to experiment with fashion while also leading a more sustainable lifestyle.”
