Harrods Opens New Beauty Concept at intu Lakeside

The first of Harrod’s brand new stand-alone beauty stores, H Beauty, opened its doors to shoppers at intu Lakeside.

H Beauty, which occupies 23,000 sq ft, is an exciting new concept from Harrods, designed to disrupt the UK beauty retail sector. It offers a range of premium and luxury brands in an experiential store, with onsite treatments, consultations and demonstrations available. It also includes a champagne bar.

The store hosts a mix of traditional, long-established beauty brands, alongside newer, innovative and digitally-led names. Among those stocked are Chanel, La Prairie, Creed, Huda Beauty, 111Skin, Uoma and Iconic London. 

The store and all services have been designed to allow for social distancing, and an extensive set of health and safety measures are in place to ensure visitors’ well-being. This includes sophisticated footfall counting technology, sanitising stations, Perspex screens and the provision of samples or disposable single-dip testers, should shoppers wish to try products. 

There are also ‘magic mirrors’ – allowing customers to virtually try on a host of different products – and send the images direct to their phone. Purchases can then be made with the click of a button.
