Home Depot Opens Three Florida Distribution Centres

The home-improvement giant intends to expand its same and next day delivery capacity across Florida with the opening of the distribution centres.

Located in the Florida municipalities of West Palm Beach, Miami and Fort Myers, the three distribution centres have been opened to support the brand’s operations by providing faster delivery options for customers in the region. In addition, two further Miami distribution centres are planned for 2022.

The newly-opened Miami facility occupies an area of 332,000sq ft and has been specifically designed to delivery big and bulky construction materials directly to Home Depot’s Pro and DIY customers. Furthermore, the two additional locations in West Palm Beach and Fort Myers will expand the company’s appliance delivery to customers in their corresponding markets.

“Our customers have varying needs – from DIYers renovating their homes to professional contractors on job sites,” said Kyle Dennis, VP of Supply Chain Development, Home Depot. “These investments are helping us deliver to our Pro and DIY customers across South Florida when, where and how they want.”

Together, the three newly-opened locations and the further two anticipated opening will create more than 150 full and part-time jobs across South Florida.
