Upscale boutique property Hotel Herringbone, operated by Lucky Find Hospitality, is due to open in Waco, Texas this March.
San Diego-based RAD LAB partnered with FreeForm Development, Lucky Find Hospitality and local chef and restaurateur Corey McEntyre, to acquire what was once a shipping container development that had stalled and sat vacant.
The existing development was reimagined by RAD LAB, which specialise in sustainable and innovative shipping container architecture, and the build-out executed in partnership with FreeForm Development. Taylor Leage led the interior design.
Hotel Herringbone offers 21 rooms as well as more than 30,000sq ft of space for food, beverage, music, art, events and retail. The space is divided into a 15,000sq ft public plaza with 12 retail units, an outdoor children’s play area, a stage for live music performances,= and a European-inspired al fresco restaurant called Songbird. Adjoining the plaza is Red Herring, a 6,000sq ft fine dining restaurant and craft cocktail bar.
On the top floor of the property is Lucky Buck’s, a rooftop venue with a shuffleboard, TVs and more. Rounding off the F&B offering is Nightlight Donuts & Coffee. All four dining outlets in Hotel Herringbone will be overseen by McEntyre. Additional event space includes a ballroom, a boardroom, an exclusive vinyl record listening studio and lounge.
