Having garnered a reputation for reinventing luxury cosmetics through cutting-edge product innovation and artful product design; they set out to establish a new retail standard in this highly-competitive market.

In collaboration with global retail design agency, Checkland Kindleysides, they created a one-of-a-kind cosmetics counter that would ‘own the room’ and leave consumers in no doubt of Hourglass’s market-leading expertise. Artistically balancing a singular, high-contrast marble, the architectural form of the new cosmetics counter design combines unexpected angles and cantilevered intersections with interplays of light, resulting a unique concession design that is as striking as it is inviting.

Purposefully elevating their product presentation through order and repetition and housing a luxurious ‘Artistry Bar’ with store-exclusive services – Checkland Kindleysides created a concept that delivers an unforgettable beauty experience to all those who visit. Designed as a completely bespoke experience for Selfridges Beauty Hall, the brand’s truly distinctive retail design is highly-coveted yet inclusive and timeless yet daringly in vogue.
