The new stores have opened at Inorbit Malls located in Malad, Vashi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Vadodara.
The year 2020 was unprecedented for the retail real estate industry and although many retailers have restructured their businesses and operations, pivoting to a stronger online, digital approach over physical store expansions, Inorbit Malls has witnessed a number of key brands launch at their centres.
The surge in interest and openings at their locations has seen Inorbit Malls confidence soar, as they expect footfall to recover across their properties in 2021, particularly with the launch of new brands.
Rohit Gopalani, Head Leasing Business for Inorbit Malls India, commented: “As India slowly unlocked, we saw a surge in pent-up demand from consumers for new and existing brands which was further strengthened by the festive rush. In the last two quarters, we’ve opened 50 new stores despite the challenges and we have more brands on the way.”
