Until 2024, the Danish menswear brand Jack & Jones was only present in Portugal through the multi-brand channel. Since then, it has opened at Designer Outlet Algarve and is now making its debut in the north of the country with the opening of its third Portuguese store in Vila Nova de Gaia.
Located at Arrábida Shopping, the brand’s new store is the latest step in its expansion plan in the Portuguese market under Bestseller group, where it aims to have 10 outlets by the first quarter of 2026.
“Jack & Jones’ expansion in Portugal reflects our desire to be closer to our customers and to strengthen the brand’s identity in a demanding market,” said Diogo Bartolomeu, Bestseller’s Country Manager in Portugal. “We are growing the brand with purpose, consistency and a close eye on what really matters: product and experience.”
The expansion of Jack & Jones’ retail network in Portugal is part of Bestseller’s comprehensive growth plan in the country, announced in spring 2024. At the time, the Danish group announced its intention to open 50 stores across different brands in its portfolio in the Portuguese market over the following three years. In addition to Jack & Jones, the group’s focus has also been on its Vero Moda and Only brands. In September 2024 the business launched JJ Rebel, which made its debut in Portugal in more than 120 multi-brand points of sale.
Founded in Denmark in 1975, Bestseller supplies clothing and fashion accessories for men, women, teenagers and children across a variety of brands. In addition to Jack & Jones, Only, Vero Moda and JJ Rebel, it owns labels such as JJXX, Yas, Noisy May, Name It and Only & Sons and operates in over 70 countries.
