Jumeirah’s Culinary Portfolio Ramps Up

A host of new chefs join the hospitality giant as 13 new and re-imagined concepts are set to open over the next two months.

The Dubai-based hospitality giant Jumeirah Group has announced a raft of new appointments as its culinary portfolio expansion ramps up. Following the announcement of 13 new and re-imagined concepts set to open over the coming months, a number of new exceptionally talented chefs and mixologists will further strengthen the Jumeirah Restaurants team.

Jose Silva, CEO of Jumeirah Group, said: “Exceptional dining is a core focus for Jumeirah Group and central to our expansion. At the heart of this is the recruitment of high calibre and well-known chefs to strengthen the incredible collection of restaurants and bars in our portfolio and enhance the guest experience.”

Saverio Sbaragli is taking on role of head chef at Al Muntaha, at the iconic Burj Al Arab, while Tom Koll will also join the world-famous hotel as executive pastry chef. Andrea Migliaccio will step into the role of executive chef at Al Mahara and rounding off the new team is acclaimed mixologist Thibault Mequignon as bar manager at Gilt.

At Jumeirah Al Naseem, Marco Acquaroli joins Rockfish as Executive Sous Chef and stepping into the role of pastry chef is Julien Jacob. Charles-Antoine Chaudron joins Jumeirah Mina A’Salam as Director of F&B and at Zheng He’s, Wong Lian You takes on the role of Executive Chef and Sebastien Torres will join Jumeirah Beach Hotel as Executive Chef.
