La Roca Village, one of the eleven Villages of The Bicester Village Shopping Collection has added new boutiques, new spaces and new experiences.

The remodelling comes following a direct investment of €50M and an indirect investment of €7M, and is expected to generate more than 170 new jobs in addition to the current 1,800. The investment and subsequent remodelling consolidates the centre’s position as a relevant player in the recovery of the economy.

The remodelling focused on two key elements: the underground parking lot with natural lighting and a spectacular central square which is set to become a destination in itself. Natural lighting and ventilation now play a key part in the underground car parking lot, where each visitor experience begins. The square has been created with the intention of providing a meeting place for guests in which cultural activities will be held.

Michael Goldenberg, General Director of Value Retail Spain, the operating company of La Roca Village, commented: “We are very satisfied to generate positive news at this time. The investment in La Roca Village is a clear commitment to the future of the economy in Catalonia. That international firms such as Missoni or Brunello Cucinello open new boutiques in circumstances such as the current ones and others such as Moncler or Rituals double their commercial space is a clear indicator of their confidence in the recovery of Barcelona and Catalonia as tourist destinations.”
