The newly revamped store features a number of experiential elements and comes ahead of the brands webstore launch.
Located in central Helsinki, this store was the brands first flagship location and opened as early as 1974. The revamped store ‘aims to give customers a strong and holistic experience of the cheerful and colourful Marimekko lifestyle’. In a world where online shopping continues to pose a threat to physical stores, the brand is intending to mix both digital and virtual elements in the flagship store.
The company commented that: “in addition to personal and expert customer service, the store also offers new types of service experiences, such as virtual and private shopping and collection presentations in response to consumers evolving needs.”
As well as the revamp of this flagship store location, the brand also intends to revamp and relaunch its webstore, hailed to be available in early 2021.
