Chinese tea and ice cream chain Mixue, has made its US debut by opening a store in Los Angeles, California.

Located on Hollywood Boulevard, the outlet offers the brand’s core menu, including ice cream, pure tea, fruit drinks, milk tea and coffee. Customers can customise sugar levels and toppings on selected beverages.

Founded in 1997, Mixue has pursued rapid international expansion in recent years. The company opened its first overseas store in Vietnam in 2018 and has since entered markets including Australia, South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines. Mixue plans to further grow its US footprint, with a New York store expected to open in the near future.

“We are actively advancing our global strategy,” said Zhang Hongfu, Global CEO of Mixue. “The company will steadily expand its store footprint, allowing more local consumers to enjoy high-quality, affordable drinks.”

Mixue Group now operates more than 53,000 stores worldwide.
