Launching today, Eclo is a brand new French cosmetics brand that combines naturalness, innovation and sustainable development.
At the heart of Eclo is Priscille Charton, a cosmetics
expert who worked for 12 years within the Coty group, Julien Callède one of the
co-founders of the Made.com site and Marin Susac previously director of brands
and CSR in the Bel food group.
“Working in a large cosmetics group was exhilarating, with lots of
opportunities. However, in 2014 I undertook a year-long sailing trip with my
husband on the Atlantic, we never went a day without coming across large or
small pieces of plastic. You don’t come back unchanged from such a trip and
then I had my children, and I wondered more and more about the world and where we
were going to leave them,” says Priscille Charton who was recently head of
innovation for the Rimmel brand, a position she left in July 2020 to launch the
Eclo adventure.
Eclo will shortly open the doors of its e-shop. However, the brand does not wish to be a pure-player, and indicates that around forty partner distributors have already shown interest. By the end of the year, Eclo will launch new products such as corrective foundations and mascara before entering the skincare and hygiene segment.
