The new ‘This is New York’ Virtual Reality, interactive experience is available at JFK’s Terminal 4.
The experience, which has been designed and implemented by PeriscapeVR will allow visitors to enjoy New York’s most iconic destinations and landmarks in Virtual Reality. The experience features key destinations from New York’s five boroughs, including the Queens Unisphere, the Staten Island Ferry, the Brooklyn Bridge Park, Prospect Park Boathouse and the 191st Street Subway Station. Visitors can partake in the VR experience using just their smartphone and a pair of VR goggles.
Roel Huinink, President and Chief Executive Officer of JFK International Airport, commented: “As the international gateway to New York City, we are proud to provide this virtual installation to showcase some of the city’s most treasured destinations.
“The pandemic has made it more difficult for visitors to see some of the iconic locations in the city, and this experience allows them to safely see some of the best landmarks New York City has to offer when travelling through T4.”
This is not the first time that Periscape VR and JFK Airport have collaborated; PeriscapeVR opened its first location at Terminal 4 in 2018.
