The all new American fried chicken restaurant will be located at The Peel Centre in Barnsley and will mark the brand’s 11th opening in 2023, and the 30th opening since landing in the UK in November 2021.
Popeyes® UK is set to pull out all the stops to showcase its Southern hospitality as it brings a taste of Louisiana to Barnsley.
Popeyes® saw its busiest launch globally for the first UK Drive-Thru in Rotherham, with customers queuing from 4am to get their hands on the famous Louisiana Chicken Sandwich, and the brand has now announced its second restaurant in Yorkshire will follow on 29th September.
Chicken fans in Barnsley will get to experience Popeyes® world-famous ‘shatter crunch’ for themselves once they get their hands on the mouth-watering menu available at the Drive-Thru, including the iconic Popeyes® Chicken Sandwich and original Southern biscuits and gravy. Popeyes® will also be serving up a brand-new breakfast menu, including the Big Breakfast Rolls [A sausage patty, egg, streaky bacon, and American cheese in a soft bun], a variety of breakfast muffins, cajun hash browns and their famous Louisiana buttermilk biscuits served with cinnamon sugar or Nutella®.
Plans for the new site include 88 seats indoors and 24 outside, a dual-ordering lane to reduce expected vehicle queues including two waiting bays, kerbside collection from six specifically designated bays when you order online via the Popeyes website and car park including three DDA parking spots for customers who would like to eat inside the restaurant.
