Hunter Partners, a commercial real estate developer, has announced that it has signed Safeway to anchor the new Alder Creek Marketplace in Folsom, California.
The 55,000sq ft lease includes a Safeway grocery store and a Safeway Fuel Station at Alder Creek Marketplace, a more than 12 acre, 95,000sq ft high-end retail centre under construction at the southwest corner of Alder Creek Parkway and E. Bidwell in the Folsom Ranch Development.
Additional tenant leases were signed with Jersey Mikes, Paris Baguette, Nail Chateau II and Next Health. Along with Safeway, the new leases total 64,000sq ft, and an additional 14,000sq ft are currently in negotiation.
“Whether it’s picking up groceries or filling up their tanks on the drive home, Safeway at Alder Creek Marketplace will offer convenience and value for the residents of Folsom,” said Josh Rupert, Senior Director of development at Hunter Partners. “We are excited to welcome Safeway as the centrepiece of this new project.”
Opening in 2027, Alder Creek Marketplace will be Safeway’s second location in Folsom. Alder Creek Marketplace is conveniently located just off highway 50 in the heart of Folsom Ranch, one of Northern California’s largest master planned communities with over 3,500 acres. The shopping centre’s architect is LPAS Architecture + Design, while the contractor is Descor.
