A variety of entertainment and immersive events for tourists are being held in Saudi Arabia up until March in celebration of AlUla Season.
One such unique experience is called Hegra After Dark, created by the Royal Commission for AlUla and being held at night over the weekends until December 4. The experience is set within Jabal al-Khuraymat, one of four necropolis areas to have survived.
The experience begins with Awaken the Senses and Enjoy the Silence where visitors can enjoy the beauty of silence underneath the dark sky that is blanketed with stars. Meanwhile 1,750 candles light up the entrance of Tomb 100, one of the most beautiful in Hegra.
Following this, guests are invited to watch a live show near Tomb of Malkiyun the Diviner, which highlights the importance of key moments in history in each of the heritage sites around Hegra. The experience ends with a stargazing experience.
Eman AlAnkari, Visitors Experience and Development Director at Site Management Department of the Royal Commission for AlUla, says: “After doing a gap analysis study and receiving a lot of requests from people who wanted night-time activities in Hegra, we curated a package comprising three attractions where people can enjoy Hegra in different ways.”
