Sporting goods retailer Scheels has gone big… quite literally with its new store as it comes complete with a Ferris Wheel.
An anchor tenant at the Eden Prairie Center in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, the $58M store combines two main levels of retail space with a 16,000-gallon saltwater aquarium, 45ft tall Ferris Wheel and wildlife taxidermy mountain.
Built by Minneapolis-based Kraus-Anderson Construction and designed by R.L. Engebretson Architecture, the new store also features a golf shop, bike shop, ski shop, canoe and kayak shop, fishing shop, and gun and hunting shops, with a total of 85 specialty shops in all.
