The new initiative called Project Earth aims to encourage people to change the way they shop.

British high-end department store, Selfridges & Co has looked to increase its sustainability values over the past ten years and this latest initiative will explore using different sustainable materials to produce products as well as launching new retail models such as repair, rent and resell.

The scheme will be supported by over 300 brand partners and Woodland Trust and WWF with eight weeks of experiments, innovations and conversations across all of its stores and online being the first step.

Selfridges have pledged to use only certified, sustainable sources throughout its entire business by 2025.
